Virtual Class School Photos

Photography Clipart Free | Free download on ClipArtMag

We would usually have year group photos during term 4 and we would love to recreate this.
Our plan is to create 2 photo collages for each year group:

  • 1 where pupils are wearing school uniform and smiling (as they would for a normal school photo)
  • 1 where pupils are wearing whatever they want (casual clothes or a costume) and holding a sign with a message to their class.

We thought this would be a lovely memento for everyone to have as well as keeping our classes as connected as possible during this difficult time.

If you would like your child to be included in their class collage then please upload your photos to this Google Form before 27.05.2020 and we will get started on the collage creations ASAP!

CROWN’S GOT TALENT! 🤩 – VIRTUAL TALENT SHOW!

m1ssearnshaw

Have you got a talent that you think is worthy of the Crown’s Got Talent Show 2020?

We always have a talent show during term 4 and we don’t see why this year should be any different. It is such a lovely way to celebrate each other and this is more important than ever during these uncertain times. This is why we have decided to organise a virtual talent show this year.

We would love to see your amazing talents, whatever they may be! Please film your talent (e.g. dance routine, singing a song, playing an instrument, doing a magic trick etc.) and upload it to the attached Google Form by 29.05.2020. Please keep video entries to 3 minutes or less.

All entries will be compiled to create one amazing Crown’s Got Talent Movie which will be released on 01.06.2020!

We can’t wait to see all of your amazing entries!

We hope you are all well and have had a good week! We spotted some super science skills in your work this week, amazing investigations, observations and inventing happening in your kitchens at home!

Your help and support is much appreciated and as always your children continue to inspire us with their creativity and resilience. Remember, whatever you can manage at home is enough! Do what you can when you can. You are our super people!!

What an exciting week ahead! IT’S WELLBEING CHALLENGE WEEK!

Are you up for the challenge? A week with a difference!

*You will need to register ‘Y’ and Check In on the form as usual.

Then…

Part 1: Each day there will be a whole school challenge to support the 5 ways to wellbeing. There will be a new post in the classroom each day to tell you about each challenge.

Part 2: There is a P1 & P1/2 Challenge Grid. This grid has 12 activities for you to try throughout the week.

In P1 & P1/2 we will be asking you to post photos to log your learning for this week.  Please can you click on to the assignment and add your photos here?  To do this, click the assignment to open it, at the bottom click View Assignment and when that opens at the top right hand side you will see ‘Your Work’ and underneath you will see a + Add or create. Click on this and you can attach your photos. Thanks.

Part 3: Google Meets will be Tuesday and Thursday @2pm. We look forward to seeing you if you are free.

Now for our favourite part of the week… a flavour of what we have all been up to!

WELLBEING WEEK- NEXT WEEK

msmac27

Term 4 is usually full of learning of a different kind- excursions, visitors, events- which make lots of memories for our pupils.

Over the past 2 weeks staff have been discussing ways we can give this term some key events that break from the usual routine and give the term a bit of “shape”. We have discussed this with area office and head of education and they are very interested in our approach and keen to hear all about it. We have also discussed it with members of Parent Council and have described it as a chance for us to re-set , re-energise and re-focus our learning for the next few weeks. An opportunity to spend learning time away from a screen, if that’s what you choose to do.

Classrooms will still be the source of learning activities and there will be a chance for families to plan for as many or as few as they can manage.

We are using NHS Five Ways to Wellbeing headings as a guide through the week.

Teachers are working closely together on this and experiences will be consistent across levels.

More information to follow.

We are so proud of all of you! You are hardworking, enthusiastic and positive! It is wonderful to see your photos that show all of your amazing learning and we love that you are so engaged and supported by your wonderful families. Each and everyday is different so please remember whatever you do at home is enough!

We hope you have a good weekend. Please find below some ideas for our next block of learning. Again – pick and choose what suits for you and always have fun! 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing your week in photos so that we can make it our week in photos!

LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND TRANSITION

msmac27

Thanks for your continued support as we move through a Term 4 unlike any other!

I am being kept very well informed by class teachers regarding the learning and engagement of all our pupils and am continually astounded by the dedication of our staff. I’m sure you will find the concept of digital classrooms as head spinning as I do!

We work closely, and meet regularly, with all the primaries who feed into Millburn and together we have begun to discuss how “transition” may look for our new nursery pupils, nursery into P1 and P7 into Millburn. At the moment this will be simply being reassured that Crown and Millburn staff are working as closely as possible to ensure that you are kept informed on any decisions taking place.

Lots of plans are in the making and these will be shared as soon as they are finalised around individual reporting updates and class planning. I’m sure you understand that our annual, predictable event planning and work-streams have been hi-jacked somewhat!

Transition will need to be carefully managed for everyone over the coming months- pupils, staff and parents- as we navigate the continuing challenges ahead.

Please know we will be leading and managing everything carefully every step of the way. As always, please get in touch directly with me if you have any queries.

How do you feel about Mondays? | BecomeAnEX | Have a blessed week ...

The new week ahead…

We hope you all are having a lovely weekend and enjoyed some sunshine!

Mrs Clark and I would be grateful if children could continue to complete the ‘Check In’ form as well as the register each day. This gives us the opportunity to continue our engagement with everyone to support and help if needed.

We are amazed and delighted with all of your efforts. Again thanks to everyone at home for all of the support you give as we know the children’s learning is not happening on its own!

The weekly grids will give you an idea of our big learning. Do what you can and pick the activities that best suits your child’s learning style.

We will post the activities and learning grids on the classroom on Sunday evening so you can plan ahead if you wish.
