We have waved goodbye to Pudsey and welcomed in a new character called ‘Plop’. He is a baby barn owl and we met him in a lovely book called ‘The Owl Who Is Afraid Of The Dark’ by Jill Tomlinson.
We will use this story in our next learning journey called ‘The Great Outdoors’. This context will cover learning about day and night, the weather, seasons and recording information.
The children help to plan this learning as we chat about what we already know and think about things we want to make, do, write and say.
We started by creating a dark den in a tree as Plop likes to watch what is going on from the top of a tall tree.

We are learning to describe changes during seasons.
